How large is the Hard drive for xbox standard system?

The hard drive is 500gb though you will have less space than that to store your items for the system uses some of the memory for its' default items. You will have more than 400gb of space, closer to 425.

Hi, Can I use this in India?

You can definitely use in India. However, note that the many XBOX games DVD are region locked. Games In India are codes with PAL system while the Xbox purchased from US can accept NTSC. So mind it before buying. I bought Xbox 360 from US but I can't play all games that are available in India. Games like Forza, Need for Speed are region locked and I have to buy these from US and shipped to India. Costly affair. Howevere there are games like Call of Duty, Battlefied, Kinect games like Rush, Kinect Sports, Kinect Adventures are not region locked e.e., a PAL game would still run on NTSC Xbox

does it play blue ray?

yes it does play Blu-ray but you have to download it first from the app store annoying but worth it

I have no idea about gaming. Does this bundle include everything for getting started, or do I buy anything else seperately like cables...?

This bundle should come with everything you need to get started. The only thing you might want is a second controller. If you plan on game playing with a friend. They also offer seperately a charge and play kit. This allows you to recharge your battery instead of buying more aa batteries. Otherwise you should be good to go. Hope that helps you

I owned an Xbox 360, can i use my 360's games with the Xbox One?

As of this moment, it only plays xbox one games.
Microsoft said they will release a software update by the end of the year that will allow the xbox one to play some 360 games.

How long until they fix (patch-update) the backwards compatibility to allow xbox 360 discs ?

so far they have not released anything about making the games backwards compatible. Sadly to say I am pretty sure they aren't going to make them backwards compatible.

Does the console come in original packaging? Or is it packaged in regular boxes?

I purchased one myself and it came in official microsoft packaging. Everything looked new to me and was sealed as i assume the contents of non-refurbs come. That said, the box says refurbished along the border of the top

no you cannot they are different versions sorry one is 1.0 the other 2.0

I travel the world working on cruise lines. AKA no constant internet. Can I get a clear answer for offline gaming. Will all disc based games work offline?

The only games that will not play without a internet is online only games like titan fall and plants vs zombies plants warfare. Any game that has to connect to a server will not work. All other games disc based games will work like assassin cred and call of duty those games

Does the Xbox one include any Kinect based game like the Xbox 360 with Kinect did (I believe it had Kinect Adventures)?

Unless you buy a Bundle you'll have no game included. Also, Xbox 360 games you already have won't run in the new Xbox One. That said, you can find a few Kinect games in the Xbox online store. Most of them have a free version where you can play at no cost until a certain phase or before you acquire additional features. These games are mostly sports related. There's also an inventory of training exercises you can acquire to workout at home. Again, some exercises are given for free for you to try

what does kinect actually do?

Voice recognition to turn on or off the system, accept party invites and game invites only speaking and much more things into the games and the web and ply the games with your body movement. Is your call, it depends what u need, if you ask me, if I have the Kinect, answer is yes.
